Enough is a painful read. Not in a bad way, in the way that makes you squirm because you know that the author is 100% right in what he is saying, so much so that the reader must make a perspective change, not doing so would be denying the reality and truthfulness of this book! The author, Will Davis Jr., poses the question to the reader, "How much is enough?" If you live in the U.S., the answer is, what you have is enough, or MORE than enough. The author challenges our status quo thinking by bringing in real examples of people across the globe and their financial positions, to show that most of us are delusional in thinking that we always need more. In fact, the author challenges the reader to make do with less, give a lot more away, and live with less! Biblical truths are interweaved within this book, as are staggering statistics, including that less than 10% of Christians actually tithe (a biblical request/command). Will Davis Jr. really hits home that we miss out on spiritual blessings because we don't believe we should live with less or give more, we are in bondage to our things and taking care of them, and with examples he shows that not only are those who live with less or give more, are enormously blessed it is essentially the way that Christ calls us to live. This book continued to open up my eyes and heart to a continual change of perspective and I whole heartedly recommend this book! The opinions I have expressed are my own.
